Grow.Plant the seeds about 1/2 inch deep in well-drained soil, watering well initially and later only sparingly. Unlike more familiar legumes, the cotyledons (constituting the bulk of the seed) remain underground, providing nourishment for the new plant.
Light.The Texas mountain laurel is happiest with a fair amount of sun, but will tolerate a partly-shady spot.
Soil.This shrub is tolerant of a wide range of soils, however it performs best with well-drained soils.
